Sale and change of tires

In order to always be sure of the quality of work, we recommend choosing a reputable and reliable workshop. Our technicians always check the condition of the tires of the car, as well as the replacing ones before commencing work. There are very specific requirements for tires in Estonia, and if  those brought as replacement do not meet them, we offer the customer the opportunity to purchase new tires. We offer tires for different budgets, and each customer can decide for themselves whether they want a comfortable “all-inclusive” service, or bring us tires that meet the requirements.

TIRE CHANGE REMINDER!

The tires must be in good condition, otherwise the car will be harder to drive, the braking distance will be longer and the car’s fuel consumption will increase.

The tire must not have any internal and external damage and the internal pressure of the tire must correspond to the pressure specified by the manufacturer.

The tire must not be used if its tread pattern has worn below the required minimum requirements. For passenger cars, the tread depth of the summer tire must be at least 1.6 mm and in the case of winter tires at least 3 mm. However, we recommend replacing the tires before they wear out so much. Changing winter tires should be considered if its tread depth is 4 mm and for 2 mm summer tires.

The age of the tires must also be taken into account, as the rubber loses its properties over time. It is recommended to change both summer and winter tires at least every five years. At the same time, certain driving styles (very frequent braking, sudden maneuvers) and driving on poor-quality and unpaved roads can wear out the tires faster, requiring them to be changed every 3-4 years.

The most common mistake drivers make is driving with the wrong (usually too low) tire pressure. Incorrect tire pressure reduces the life of the tires and increases the car’s fuel consumption. It is advisable to check the tire pressure regularly – in cold weather conditions at each refueling, as changing weather conditions also affect the tire pressure.

The service life of tires is also affected by storage conditions. It is not recommended to store the tires in a humid place or in direct sunlight, as such conditions degrade the tire’s properties: reduced grip, braking and handling. We recommend the use of official and recognized tire change and storage locations, as they have the appropriate knowledge, experience and facilities for tire change and storage.
